This course delivers the fundamentals of hairdressing and is a great starting point for all aspiring hairdressers. Perfect for school leavers who want to kick start their career in hairdressing and has the option of funding for eligible learners. 

Train in our realistic salon environment to ensure you gain commercial experience on live clients ready to start work as a junior stylist or apprentice. 

Course Content:

• The art of hairdressing

• Client consultation

• Health and Safety

• Working in the hair industry

• Cut women’s hair

• Colour and lighten hair

• Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp

• Salon reception duties

• Perm and neutralise hair

• Create an image based on a theme

• Plaiting and twisting hair

Funding:

A funding amount may be available for learners who are unable to pay for the course privately. Learners must meet the following criteria:

• Adult learners aged 19 or over on 31st August of the academic year

• Living in the BCP Council area

• UK citizenship or British Residency for a minimum of 3 years

• Be unemployed or earning under £18,525 per year
